Who I Am
Hello! I'm Janelle, a graduate of North Shore Community College's Veterinary Technician Program and I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Salem State University. Between having worked in an animal hospital and volunteered my time at animal shelters, I have about 5 years of experience taking care of animals. With my medical background, I am confident working not only with dogs and cats of different ages and personalities, I am also confident in working with elderly, disabled, and your more "special personality" of cats and dogs and just about anything in between.
I'm also proudly bonded and insured through Travelers Insurance.
Who I Help
I help out busy people who love their pets but may need a little time away from each other. They do say Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder!
We all dream of becoming veterinarians when we were little kids...or was that just me? Since I was a little pup myself, I had all sorts of animals: cats, dogs, chickens, hamsters, gerbils, rats (they’re really awesome pets!), and all the little critters in between, so it was natural that I would follow the footsteps of other animal lovers. As I grew older, the dream was put aside as I went to school for business (entrepreneurship to be exact) at Salem State College. Life seemed to be going well, working and living in Boston, until one day, destiny came back to show what I was truly meant to become.
I really needed to focus on what type of career would fulfill my life. What am I passionate about enough to advance my skills and knowledge and wake up feeling excited to start the day? As I was going through all sorts of ideas and sorting out thoughts of where to go next, I felt a head-butt press against my leg, and as I looked down to see my beautiful cat, Topanga, an epiphany of sorts came over me and it was in that moment, I realized what would make me feel most successful- Veterinary Technology. After hard work and determination, and many, many bumps in the road, I successfully completed the Veterinary Technology program at North Shore Community College in 2020.
Today, with my background of business and veterinary technology experience, I finally found my way to work with animals and run my own successful business! Now that you have my story, I’d love to learn more about you and your pets!

Interested in becoming a part of Catnip & Cookies? Great! Here’s how we get started.
- Sign up here to set up a 30 minutes phone call to discuss your needs, learn about your pet, services, prices, and see if we’re a good match.
- After our successful phone call, we’ll set up a time for a meet and greet session (1st session is complimentary, any extra meet and greets are $15 per visit), to make sure your furbaby and I mesh well (the most important part!). Once your pet and I become BFF’s, we’re ready to set up dates for visits. I’ll set up an account with PetPocketbook so you can easily set up times for visits (which I approve/cancel depending on availability), review your profile and billing and invoices. Just like that, you’re apart of the Catnip & Cookies Crew!
